Saint Fiacre

In a monastery in Kilkenny, Fiacre was renowned for his piety and gift of healing. When the flood of visitors asking for his prayers became overwhelming, he moved to France, where he built an oratory to the Blessed Virgin, a hospice, and a hermitage. He cared for the sick, using his gardening skills to grow herbs and medicines.
